Principal AI Engineer

About the role

Mobiz is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of cutting‑edge AI and Generative AI solutions for enterprise clients. The role combines rapid prototyping with full‑cycle production deployment, ensuring AI capabilities are integrated securely and at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable AI/ML and Generative AI solutions that meet client and internal requirements.
• Lead end‑to‑end AI solution delivery, from ideation and rapid prototyping through production rollout.
• Build AI‑powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, NLP, deep learning, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents.
• Integrate AI functionalities into existing products, platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Test, evaluate, and optimise AI/ML models for accuracy, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Drive rapid experimentation, translating ambiguous business challenges into practical AI prototypes.
• Provide technical leadership, establish best practices, and mentor engineering teams on AI development.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of technical leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to turn innovative ideas into production‑ready AI solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for emerging AI technologies.
• Experience guiding teams through rapid prototyping while maintaining quality, security, and scalability.
