Procurement Specialist – Karachi

About the role

Our client Hamdard Pakistan is seeking a detail‑oriented Procurement Specialist to join the team at its Tariq Road office in Karachi. The role manages the full procurement cycle, from sourcing to purchase order issuance, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and timely delivery.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure optimal pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Coordinate the purchase order process from requisition to approval and issuance.
• Apply best‑practice sourcing methods to identify suitable suppliers and evaluate alternatives for cost efficiency.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to recommend strategic adjustments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assess procurement needs and prepare specifications.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting for transparency and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
• Support development and implementation of strategies that enhance supply‑chain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist in resolving procurement‑related issues such as discrepancies, delays, or non‑compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of relevant procurement experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal departments.
