Procurement Officer – Strategic Sourcing

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to lead sourcing activities for our client in Lahore. The role focuses on developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality purchases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Evaluate, select and negotiate contracts with suppliers based on cost, quality, service and reliability.
• Maintain supplier relationships to achieve cost‑effectiveness and high‑quality service.
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and supplier practices.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications.
• Prepare and review purchase orders, verify invoices and support payment processes.
• Conduct regular supplier audits to assess performance and compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of purchases, pricing and procurement documentation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Proven track record in negotiating terms and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Professional certification such as CPSM is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
