Project Director

About the role

GE Vernova Hydro Power is looking for a Project Director to lead the delivery of large hydro‑power projects. The role carries full Profit & Loss accountability, ensures customer satisfaction, and drives project performance across the assigned cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of one or more large projects, ensuring they meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Own and influence project budgets, operating plans, and financial KPIs.
• Manage and develop Project Managers within the cluster, setting priorities and performance expectations.
• Act as the primary escalation point for external customers, maintaining strong relationships and handling voice‑of‑customer issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align resources, resolve technical challenges, and implement best practices.
• Interpret business challenges and recommend improvements to products, processes, or services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Business Management.
• Proven experience leading large, complex projects in an industrial or energy environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, budgets, and financial performance.
• Strong leadership skills with experience supervising senior project staff.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making abilities, especially under uncertainty.
