Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the role

Ibtidah Solutions is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join its growing team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites for web applications and APIs, ensuring high‑quality software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
• Build and manage automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and QA teams to guarantee product quality.
• Execute API testing and validate backend services.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment.
• Identify, track, and report bugs, ensuring timely resolution.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, and testing reports.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in QA and automation testing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python for automation scripting.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and the SDLC/STLC.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar).
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities.
