Semi Senior Accountant

About the role

Johnson Smith & Co is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Lahore office. This position is ideal for an ACCA student or a part‑qualified candidate with 1–2 years of UK‑based accounting experience who wants to develop within a professional firm.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize Year‑End Accounts accurately and within deadlines.
• Handle Corporation Tax (CT) computations and submissions.
• Prepare and submit accounts and tax returns using IRIS and TaxCALC.
• Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, and day‑to‑day accounting tasks.
• Work with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting standards.
• Assist senior team members with client portfolio management.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of UK‑based accounting experience.
• Practical experience with Year‑End Accounts and Corporation Tax.
• ACCA student or part‑qualified candidate preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication and time‑management abilities.
