Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to manage and oversee our day‑to‑day accounting operations. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and support budgeting and cash‑flow planning for our Karachi office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy.
• Process vendor payments, reimbursements and maintain payment schedules.
• Monitor cash flow, support budget planning and forecasting.
• Handle payroll processing and related accounting entries.
• Prepare and submit monthly Withholding Tax (WHT) returns and ensure timely tax deposits per FBR regulations.
• File Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) sales tax returns with complete documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulatory authorities.
• Analyze financial reports, identify variances and provide recommendations to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with monthly WHT filing, FBR portal and SRB sales tax filing.
• High attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
