Senior Accountant – Tax

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant specialized in tax to join our international team. You will ensure accurate sales tax compliance across provinces, support audits, and help maintain a strong compliance framework for our global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file monthly Sales Tax returns accurately and within statutory deadlines, ensuring full compliance with provincial sales tax regulations.
• Manage tax compliance activities, including preparation of tax schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for statutory filings and audits.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess business impact, and implement compliance requirements promptly.
• Liaise with external tax advisors, consultants, and regulatory authorities on audits, inquiries, assessments, and other tax‑related matters.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain required information, resolve tax issues, and maintain accurate tax records.
• Ensure all legal tax obligations are fulfilled on time to mitigate risks, avoid fines, penalties, and interest charges.

Required profile

• CA Finalist, ACCA or ICMA qualified.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in taxation, statutory compliance, and tax reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with FBR and Provincial Sales Tax portals.
