Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our high‑volume retail finance team in Lahore. The role involves managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, leveraging NetSuite and Tipalti to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities in a high‑volume retail environment.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting transactions accurately and promptly.
• Execute account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support vendor and customer account management, responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
• Utilize NetSuite for transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and daily activities.
• Use Tipalti (or a similar AP automation platform) for invoice processing, approvals, vendor management, and payment workflows.
• Monitor outstanding payables and receivables, following up as required.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual work, and increase efficiency, including the use of AI and other technology tools.
• Investigate and resolve issues independently before escalation.
• Provide additional accounting support during peak periods.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an accounting support role.
• Hands‑on experience with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in a high‑volume retail setting.
• Strong background in account reconciliations, vendor management, and customer account management.
• Excellent working knowledge of NetSuite; working knowledge of Tipalti or a similar AP automation solution.
• Previous experience working for a Canadian‑based corporation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
