Senior Manager – Accounts & Taxation (US Client Portfolio)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to act as the primary trusted adviser for a portfolio of US‑based clients. You will lead all compliance, reporting and advisory activities, ensuring high‑quality service and proactive risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Own a US client portfolio, providing end‑to‑end advisory on compliance and reporting.
• Lead preparation and senior review of financial statements and federal/state tax returns (Forms 1120, 1065, 1040).
• Oversee bookkeeping, payroll processing, sales‑tax compliance, and AP/AR management.
• Monitor IRS, FASB and state regulatory updates and implement process changes proactively.
• Lead, mentor and quality‑review junior and mid‑level accountants, fostering a culture of precision.
• Identify compliance risks and planning opportunities and communicate findings clearly.

Required profile

• ACCA or CA finalist/fully qualified, in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of senior‑level experience in a US‑facing accounting practice.
• Self‑directed, able to manage competing priorities and make independent decisions.
• Initiative‑driven, resolves issues without prompting.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, multi‑state tax, IRS compliance and payroll regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with US‑based clients and proven team‑leadership experience.
