Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Xphyte, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled, hands‑on Senior Network Engineer to lead its IT and network operations. This working‑manager position combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, requiring the candidate to own the organization’s entire IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of IT professionals while staying actively involved in daily operations.
• Design, implement and manage enterprise‑grade networks (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi, VPN, SD‑WAN).
• Oversee physical and virtual server environments, including provisioning, configuration and performance monitoring.
• Manage full lifecycle of AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.).
• Administer Microsoft Exchange/Outlook Server, Office 365 hybrid setups and email security gateways.
• Lead network security initiatives: firewall configuration (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, DLP, vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Develop and test disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity plans.
• Perform advanced hardware troubleshooting, build VLANs, routing protocols, QoS and high‑availability configurations.
• Monitor systems proactively using SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG or AWS‑native tools.

• Microsoft Exchange, Outlook Server, Office 365 hybrid.
• Network security: IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, DLP, vulnerability assessment.
• Disaster‑recovery planning and business continuity.
