Shutdown Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Shutdown Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams on shutdown and retrofit projects at refinery and oil & gas sites. The role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while meeting all contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret contracts, identify risks and define mitigation measures.
• Plan, define, verify and control project scope, documenting any extra work for client billing.
• Supervise planning and Front End Engineering Design and Construction (FEDC) tools across all sites to monitor construction activities and resource efficiency.
• Ensure project execution according to plan, taking corrective actions to meet schedule and budget.
• Estimate project costs and manage resources (human, material, equipment) within the allocated budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in refinery and oil & gas plant maintenance.
• At least 5 years as a Shutdown Manager on the contractor side, leading teams of 1,000+ personnel.
