Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

OneScreen is looking for a detail‑oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join its growing team in Pakistan. You will own the QA process, ensuring that both front‑end and back‑end solutions meet the highest standards of reliability and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans, scripts and cases.
• Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, performance and usability testing.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and set testing objectives.
• Identify, document, track and verify resolution of defects using bug‑tracking tools.
• Participate throughout the software development lifecycle to embed QA best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field from an HEC‑registered university.
• 1‑3 years of experience in software quality assurance or a similar role.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to issue detection and resolution.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, manual testing and automated testing.
• Experience with bug‑tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum processes.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
