Sous Chef - Pakistani Cuisine & BBQ

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef who specializes in authentic Pakistani cuisine and traditional BBQ to join our culinary team in Capital Smart City, Islamabad. Working closely with the Executive/Head Chef, you will help drive daily kitchen operations, maintain high standards of flavor and presentation, and ensure food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive/Head Chef in managing daily workflow, menu preparation, and service for Pakistani dishes and live BBQ stations.
• Maintain strict taste, recipe, and presentation standards across all meals.
• Direct, train, and mentor line cooks and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Help manage food inventory, minimize waste, and control food costs.
• Enforce compliance with local health regulations, HACCP/ServSafe standards, and kitchen hygiene protocols.
• Step in to run kitchen operations seamlessly in the Head Chef’s absence.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Station Chef focused on Pakistani cuisine and BBQ.
• Proven mastery of authentic Pakistani spice profiles and slow‑cooking techniques such as Handi, Karahi, and Biryani.
• Experience operating live grill stations for dishes like Tikka and Kebabs.
• Strong team‑management, communication, and problem‑solving abilities under high‑volume pressure.
