Systems Engineer – Linux Infrastructure & GPUaaS

About the role

The Systems Engineer is responsible for building, hardening, and operating a large fleet of Linux servers that power our GPU-as-a-Service platform. You will ensure the operating system, networking, and storage layers remain secure, reliable, and fully automated to support high‑throughput customer workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, patch, and harden Linux servers (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu) across bare‑metal and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex OS, kernel, performance, and hardware issues to root cause.
• Design, configure, and operate TCP/IP networking, including routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and bonding.
• Deploy and manage NFS and other shared file systems for high‑throughput workloads.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and remediation using Ansible and IaC practices.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards with Grafana and related observability tools.
• Manage operational workflow through ServiceNow and JIRA ticketing systems.
• Own capacity planning, OS lifecycle, and standardized system image management.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and SRE teams on reliability, security, and service rollouts.
• Document standards, runbooks, and procedures while reducing operational toil.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration or infrastructure engineering at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, kernel, storage, and performance tuning.
• Solid fundamentals in TCP/IP networking and hands‑on troubleshooting.
• Experience operating NFS or similar shared storage in production.
• Proficiency with Ansible for configuration management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana and ticketing platforms like ServiceNow and JIRA.
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
