Tax Accountant – Remote (Lahore/Islamabad)

About the role

As a Tax Accountant at Edge you will lead financial management, month‑end and year‑end close processes and strategic reporting for North‑American clients. You will act as a key financial advisor, ensuring compliance with US GAAP/IFRS and translating complex data into actionable business insights. The position is fully remote and open to candidates residing in Lahore or Islamabad.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end month‑end and year‑end close cycles to deliver accurate financial statements.
• Prepare, analyze and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Conduct variance and trend analyses and provide recommendations to improve performance.
• Oversee complex journal entries, revenue recognition and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead audit preparation, coordinate tax compliance and streamline reporting workflows.
• Review and mentor junior accountants, ensuring quality control.
• Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaborate directly with foreign executive teams as the primary financial contact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP; ACCA or CA finalist.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and month‑end reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
