Teacher & Assistant Teacher – STEAM Education

About the role

Young Learners Incubation delivers a STEAM education program for children aged 5‑13 in Lahore. The Teacher / Assistant Teacher will design and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based lessons, ensure safe execution of experiments, and nurture a collaborative classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver interactive STEAM lessons using project‑based and inquiry‑led approaches.
• Prepare materials, set up experiments, and ensure safety during hands‑on activities.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and ability levels.
• Manage classroom behaviour, maintain routines, and foster curiosity and a growth mindset.
• Assess student progress through observations, informal assessments, and portfolio work, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with program coordinators to refine lesson plans and report on student outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience teaching children aged 5‑13 (or relevant practicum/internship).
• Familiarity with STEAM concepts, science experiments, and project‑based learning.
• Strong classroom management and child‑safeguarding awareness.
• Ability to plan lessons and differentiate instruction for mixed‑ability groups.
• Basic assessment skills, including observation and formative feedback.
• Effective verbal communication for explaining concepts and interacting with parents.
• Organizational skills for material preparation, time management, and record‑keeping.
• Preferred certifications in early childhood or elementary education.
