UK Accounts Specialist – Finance & VAT Expert

About the role

The UK Accounts Specialist will join the Finance team at ArkIT Services to manage billing and VAT compliance for UK clients, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices for UK clients in line with contractual terms and UK tax requirements.
• Manage accounts receivable for UK customers, monitor outstanding invoices, follow up on collections, and apply receipts.
• Reconcile bank statements, client accounts, and intercompany transactions related to UK operations.
• Ensure correct application of VAT rules, including reverse charge where applicable, and maintain supporting documentation for audits.
• Coordinate with project managers and delivery teams on billing and revenue recognition.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of UK accounting practices and VAT rules, including reverse charge.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Preferred: Part‑qualified ACCA or fully qualified ACCA.
