Wing Head – Green Banking (Credit) – VP

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a senior professional to lead its Green Banking Wing (Credit) at the Vice‑President level. The role focuses on integrating environmental and social risk management into the bank’s credit portfolio while supporting sustainable development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the bank’s environmental and social risk management policies and procedures.
• Provide regular updates to the Chief Green Banking Manager on portfolio status and ESG risks.
• Offer guidance to business teams on medium and high‑risk projects, emphasizing key environmental and social risk factors.
• Maintain and report MIS data on E&S ratings for regulatory and senior management review.
• Develop and deliver training content on green banking principles for staff and customers.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation; a master’s degree in environmental sciences, CSR, sustainability management, or related fields is preferred.
• At least 8 years of banking experience, including 3 years in renewable energy financing, green banking, sustainable finance, or ESG risk assessment.
• Current experience in a team‑lead or supervisory role within a financial institution.

• Comprehensive knowledge of green financing products, sustainable development projects, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Expertise in policy and procedural development, cross‑functional team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
