Business Analyst – Financial Planning (FMCG)

About the role

The Business Analyst will support the Business Unit Controller in driving robust financial planning processes across multiple business units. You will ensure high‑quality deliverables, provide fact‑based insights, and enable effective decision‑making for the FMCG business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to the designed business planning process, delivering transparent forecasts, gap analysis, risks and opportunities to management.
• Participate in monthly business planning meetings to discuss volume, pricing, bad goods and other P&L drivers.
• Execute base DF financials in coordination with supply chain, sales, technical and HR partners using planning tools, guidelines and RACI matrices.
• Conduct scenario planning, analysis and brainstorming sessions, delivering timely visibility of outcomes.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and monitor value‑destroyers to maximize ROI from TTS/PFME initiatives.
• Drive the Quarterly Investment Review process, ensuring pre‑ and post‑analysis aligns with SOPs and KPI requirements.
• Prepare and present Replacement Cost Run analyses, capture action plans and support closure of identified issues.
• Deliver key business outputs such as ML comments, SPCs, PFME reporting, PEC, brand portfolio tools and impairment case analyses.

Required profile

• Professional qualification: CA, ACCA, ACMA or MBA with a finance major.
• 3‑4 years of FMCG experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting and internal control.
