Credit Relationship Manager (PJ)

About the role

Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited is looking for a Credit Relationship Manager in Karachi. The role sits within the Relationship Manager Assets function, which identifies potential credit opportunities and manages loan processes while adhering strictly to internal policies and regulatory requirements. It calls for proactive customer relationship management, detailed credit analysis and continuous monitoring of clients' financial health and market conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage prospective and existing corporate relationships to meet targets for profit, fee-based income, trade volumes and cross-selling.
• Monitor and assess the financial health and credit quality of customers and industries in the portfolio to manage future transaction risks.
• Analyze credit proposals for financial risk, repayment capability, security adequacy and industry position, and carry out external environment analysis.
• Ensure credit facilities are properly structured and comply with internal and external regulations and bank policies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients to achieve revenue and profit targets.
• Prepare a structured calling program to identify business opportunities and match bank products to customer needs.
• Provide regular account performance updates to STLs/TLs.
• Prepare and initiate credit approval notes and credit applications, including renewals, in line with bank policy and the regulatory framework.
• Ensure credit proposal documentation is complete and work with the credit quality manager to avoid security shortfalls.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a customer-focused mindset and the ability to thrive in a results-driven banking environment, with excellent presentation skills for communicating with clients, stakeholders and senior management.
