Senior QuickBooks Accountant

About the role

This Senior QuickBooks Accountant oversees a team of QuickBooks accountants, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting and compliance with U.S. accounting standards. The role involves managing several client accounts and delivering high-quality virtual accounting services. It is a full-time hybrid remote position based in Karachi, with work during U.S. business hours (night time for the employee).

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of QuickBooks accountants.
• Review, record and enter General Ledger transactions, including reconciliations.
• Handle QuickBooks, taxes and other accounting activities.
• Use multiple cloud-based tax and accounting software in addition to QuickBooks.
• Communicate directly with clients by phone, text and email, and respond to ad-hoc client requests.
• Produce financial statements from QuickBooks and troubleshoot mapping and General Ledger issues.
• Work closely with team members in the U.S. and Pakistan.

Required profile

• ACCA/CA qualification, or partial qualification; 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Previous QuickBooks experience required; preference for QuickBooks Online over desktop.
• Previous financial reporting experience.
• Must be able to work during U.S. business hours.
• Ability to work from home, with a possible switch to the office if needed.

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal English.
• Understanding of accounting entries and concepts.
• High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, multitasking and prioritisation.
