Document Controller – Construction Projects

About the role

Our client Zarrar & Co. is seeking a detail‑oriented Document Controller to support construction projects in Lahore. The role involves managing the flow of project documentation, ensuring that the latest revisions are available to all stakeholders and that records are kept in an orderly, auditable manner.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, register, distribute and track drawings, letters, reports, submittals, inspection requests and other project documents.
• Maintain up‑to‑date document registers and enforce version control to prevent outdated documents from being used on site.
• Coordinate document submissions and communications among contractors, consultants, clients and site teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly documentation reports for management and stakeholders.
• Organise project files, photographs, approvals and site records for easy retrieval.
• Maintain GPS‑tagged site photographs and progress records as required.
• Support the planning team by collecting and verifying site documentation for progress reporting.
• Ensure proper filing, archiving and retention of all records throughout the project lifecycle for compliance and audit purposes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in document control within construction projects.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Good communication skills to interact with contractors, consultants, clients and site personnel.
• Knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
