Structural CAD Drafting & BIM Modeling Specialist

About the role

Jersey Precast is seeking an experienced Structural CAD Drafting & BIM Modeling Specialist to work on precast concrete and structural detailing projects. The role involves creating detailed CAD drawings, rebar detailing, and coordinated BIM models for a variety of structural components.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed structural CAD drawings for precast concrete and RCC components such as bridge decks, marine structures, pile caps, and box beams using AutoCAD.
• Prepare accurate rebar detailing and Bar Bending Schedules to support construction requirements.
• Develop coordinated BIM models in Revit for structural and precast concrete elements, ensuring alignment with structural drawings.
• Use Tekla Structures to build precise 3D models and generate detailed drawings that reflect design specifications.
• Read, interpret, and verify structural drawings independently and coordinate BIM models to ensure clash‑free designs.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in structural CAD drafting and BIM modeling, preferably on precast concrete projects.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented, reliable, well‑organized and a strong team player.
• Willing to learn, take ownership of technical issues and provide timely, high‑quality support.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for structural drafting.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit for BIM modeling.
• Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures for 3D modeling.
• Experience with structural rebar detailing and preparation of Bar Bending Schedules.
