ELS Engineer – Continuous Improvement & Lean Sigma

About the role

The ELS Engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing sites, applying Lean Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, reliability and waste reduction. The role supports digital transformation, data‑driven decision making and cross‑functional collaboration with Operations and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ELS strategy using Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping and root‑cause analysis; develop improvement roadmaps aligned with site KPIs.
• Deploy 5S, Standard Work and waste‑reduction initiatives; monitor metrics such as UEE, flexibility, reliability, scrap rate and downtime.
• Support Manufacturing 4.0 projects by building dashboards, visual tools and analytics for real‑time performance monitoring.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to stabilize processes, qualify new equipment and address quality, safety and reliability issues.
• Manage project charters, timelines and financial validation; prepare updates for leadership and CI governance reviews.
• Train and coach teams on Lean tools, A3 problem solving, RCA and visual management standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or related field).
• Proven experience applying Lean Sigma, continuous improvement or operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data insights into actionable improvement plans.
