Senior Design & Application Engineer

About the role

Avanceon is seeking a Senior Design & Application Engineer to lead international automation projects. You will guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver cutting‑edge control and automation solutions for diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and implementing control and automation systems.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with cross‑functional teams and clients.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop P&IDs, loop descriptions, user requirement specifications, and detailed design documents.
• Write, test, and document PLC, DCS, and HMI software, and create validation/testing protocols.
• Specify and procure process instrumentation, PLCs, DCSs, drives, and related electrical components.
• Produce electrical and control panel schematics, scope‑of‑supply documents, and cost estimates.
• Oversee on‑site installation, testing, start‑up, and training of operators and engineers.

Required profile

• B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related field from a recognized institute.
• 7‑8 years of hands‑on experience in automation or process control engineering.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building lasting customer relationships.
