I&C Manager – Power Plant Operations

About the role

The I&C Manager leads the Instrumentation & Control department to ensure safe, reliable and efficient maintenance of plant equipment. The role involves planning, scheduling and executing both planned and unplanned maintenance, managing budgets, procurement and staff development while complying with HSE and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the DGM I&C in administering the I&C maintenance section according to management directives.
• Develop and monitor departmental KPIs and RIR recommendations.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Performance and Maintenance teams to meet availability and reliability targets.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality and performance reviews for the I&C team.
• Oversee leave, overtime, transport arrangements and staff deputation for odd‑hour shifts.
• Implement and enforce safety programs, issue work permits and conduct internal safety audits.
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas and compliance with corporate, OHSE and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4‑5 years experience in a Combined Cycle Power Plant, preferably as Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of field instrumentation.
• In‑depth understanding of control systems, PLC and DCS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook and CMMS/SAP.
