Global Procurement Governance & Compliance Lead

About the role

The Global Procurement Governance & Compliance Lead will head the governance and compliance function within our centralized procurement department, ensuring that policies and procedures meet regulatory requirements across all locations. This senior position drives best‑practice adoption, continuous improvement, and the digital transformation of procurement services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global governance and compliance team, monitoring adherence to procurement policies and regulations.
• Review, update, and harmonise procurement policies to align with local laws and global best practices.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all procurement activities.
• Design and deliver training programmes on governance, compliance and SOP implementation.
• Identify compliance risks, conduct audits, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and regional procurement teams to ensure a cohesive governance approach.
• Establish and manage a Center of Excellence (CoE) to disseminate best‑practice guidelines and tools.
• Lead the digitisation of procurement services, selecting and integrating digital tools to improve efficiency and transparency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in procurement governance, compliance and policy management.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive organisational change.
• Strong analytical and risk‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
