Port Operation Specialist – On‑site Role in Karachi

About the role

The Port Operation Specialist will be based on‑site in Karachi, overseeing the coordination and execution of port activities for Alpine Marine. This full‑time position ensures vessels and cargo are handled efficiently while maintaining compliance with maritime regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operational schedules and oversee day‑to‑day port operations.
• Facilitate communication between vessel owners, charterers, importers, exporters and internal teams.
• Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth port activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimise efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in sales and relationship management.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Relevant experience in maritime services, logistics or port operations (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
