Senior Mechanical Technician – After Sales Maintenance (Diesel Generators)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Technician specialized in after‑sales maintenance of diesel generators to join our team in Karachi. The role involves on‑site service, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable operation of power generation equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide field service and customer support during on‑site visits.
• Manage all on‑site mechanical repair and maintenance activities within the assigned territory.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and determine appropriate solutions.
• Prepare timely and detailed service reports, work orders, expense reports and timesheets.
• Collaborate with technical team members and share updates with management.
• Evaluate products for maintenance requirements, warranty claims, upgrades and other service needs.
• Perform root cause analysis before implementing solutions.
• Advise management on continued use or replacement of unsuitable equipment.
• Liaise with coordinators regarding equipment‑related matters.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of equipment.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering high‑quality service.
• Respond to customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare and distribute maintenance records, warranty documentation and installation reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in After Sales Maintenance (ASM).
• Strong hands‑on experience in genset troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Field service experience preferred.
