Unit Head Corporate Communications

About the role

The Unit Head Corporate Communications will lead the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies for a leading bank. This senior position works closely with HR and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and a strong corporate image across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy internal communication channels to disseminate organizational objectives to employees.
• Create and manage corporate communication channels that enhance the bank’s brand image in the industry.
• Collaborate with HR and other functions to formulate a channel‑uptake strategy for optimal utilization.
• Lead content creation for periodic publications, corporate messaging, and press releases, ensuring timely delivery.
• Oversee project timelines to guarantee publication‑ready outputs.
• Liaise with external agencies to meet deadlines for all communications materials.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive PR plan, including CSR policy, press activities, and an annual PR events calendar.
• Monitor corporate image and ensure all marketing content aligns with brand guidelines.
• Provide crisis communication advice and media strategy support.
• Assist the Head of Communications in shaping the overall communications strategy.

Required profile

• 7‑8 years of relevant experience in the banking sector.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA or Marketing preferred) from a reputable university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout Pakistan.
• Strong analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
