Accounts Officer (Accounts Receivable or Taxation)

About the role

Tajir is looking for two motivated Accounts Officers to join its Finance team. You will focus on accurate, timely execution in either Accounts Receivable or Taxation and Invoice Processing, depending on your strengths and interests.

Key responsibilities

• Record revenue and digital collections accurately in the accounting system.
• Track cash shortages, process refunds, and coordinate cash deposits with the operations team.
• Supervise the invoice processing team, ensuring vendor invoices are recorded with correct tax breakdowns.
• Follow up with supply‑chain and vendors to prevent invoice backlogs and ensure proper coding for tax compliance.
• Maintain input tax claim records, assist with periodic tax filings, and keep internal tax tooling up to date.
• Support the payables function with bookkeeping, payment processing, and monthly close activities relevant to your area.

Required profile

• Preferably a degree in Accounting & Finance (open to all disciplines).
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong ethical standards and high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
