Assistant Director – Lead Talent Consultant (HR Business Partner)

About the role

As an Assistant Director – Lead Talent Consultant at EY, you will act as a strategic HR Business Partner and trusted advisor to Service Line leadership in Pakistan. You will shape and execute people strategies that align talent priorities with business objectives, driving workforce planning, talent development, and organizational change.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic talent advisory to senior leaders, translating business goals into actionable talent initiatives.
• Lead workforce planning discussions, identify capability gaps, and partner with Talent Acquisition to build robust talent pipelines.
• Oversee talent management processes, including succession planning, high‑potential identification, and leadership development.
• Drive employee engagement programs and advise on retention strategies for key talent.
• Offer guidance on performance management, employee relations, and complex people matters while ensuring policy compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or talent consultant in a fast‑paced professional services environment.
• Strong ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and influence talent decisions.
• Excellent analytical mindset to use talent data and workforce trends for decision‑making.
• Demonstrated capability to lead change initiatives and support leadership effectiveness.
