Assistant Manager - Tax and Legal

About the role

The Assistant Manager - Tax and Legal will support client engagements by developing tax solutions, providing advice, and delivering compliance services for both corporate and individual clients across various industries.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver top‑class tax services to a portfolio of corporate clients.
• Correspond with Revenue authorities and clients on tax affairs.
• Handle all corporate tax matters, including direct and indirect tax.
• Research and prepare detailed technical tax memorandums for advisory projects.
• Collaborate with managers, directors, and partners to ensure smooth departmental operations.
• Represent clients before FBR and provincial revenue authorities during assessments, audits, and tax proceedings.
• Monitor changes in tax laws, Finance Acts, and regulatory requirements, communicating impacts to clients.

Required profile

• CA Qualified / Part‑Qualified, ACCA, ICMA, MBA Finance or related qualification.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in direct tax, indirect tax, or both, preferably in a tax consultancy firm.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistani tax laws and regulations (Income Tax Ordinance, Sales Tax Acts, etc.).
