Category Specialist – Dairy

About the role

The Category Specialist – Dairy will drive commercial performance for the dairy category within METRO/MAKRO’s wholesale network in Pakistan. You will be responsible for achieving sales, margin and supply‑chain targets while ensuring 100% shelf availability.

Key responsibilities

• Own commercial KPIs such as sales, margin and stock coverage for the dairy range.
• Source and develop suppliers, manage tendering and negotiation processes.
• Maintain 100% shelf availability through proactive supply‑chain management, accounting for seasonal and market shifts.
• Conduct regular market and competitor surveys and respond quickly to protect market share.
• Collaborate with sales, merchandising and store operations teams for B2B customer development and in‑store merchandising.
• Manage end‑to‑end promotions, including price finalisation, stock follow‑up and post‑promo analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from a recognised university.
• At least 26 years of relevant experience in category management, sourcing or retail wholesale.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, merchandising and supply‑chain teams.
