Electrical Systems Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join a leading engineering services firm on a remote contract basis. The role focuses on managing and troubleshooting electrical installations across industrial and commercial sites while ensuring strict safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site inspections and diagnostics of electrical systems to identify malfunctions or inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute field operations for system upgrades or repairs.
• Ensure adherence to electrical codes, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements during all field activities.
• Document technical findings, maintenance logs, and compliance reports for internal and client review.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using specialized testing equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical system diagnostics and field operations within industrial or commercial environments.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
• Strong attention to safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Electrical system diagnostics
• Interpretation of electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA safety regulations
• Use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imagers
• Hands‑on experience with electrical testing equipment
