Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and platforms, working closely with clients and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark and Airflow.
• Build batch and real‑time data pipelines and integrate data from APIs, databases, event streams and external systems.
• Design and optimise data warehouses, data lakes and lakehouse architectures.
• Implement data quality, validation, monitoring and governance processes.
• Optimise SQL queries, processing performance, reliability and cloud costs.
• Collaborate with clients, Product, Data Science and Engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from requirements through production and resolve complex production issues.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive ownership, problem‑solving and ability to close projects.
