Accountant

About the role

Satti Overseas Employment Services, an authorized manpower recruitment company based in Rawalpindi, is looking for an Accountant to keep accurate financial records and support day-to-day financial operations. The role is based in Rawalpindi and supports the company's recruitment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and classify financial transactions, maintain ledgers and keep accounting documentation organized.
• Prepare routine financial statements, reconciliations and internal reports for management review.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments and expense claims, checking supporting documents for accuracy.
• Monitor payable and receivable balances, follow up on outstanding items and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing, budget tracking and audit preparation.
• Ensure financial records comply with Pakistani accounting and tax requirements.
• Coordinate with colleagues and external parties to obtain financial information and meet reporting deadlines.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance and double-entry accounting.
• Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense control and month-end procedures.
• Familiarity with Pakistani accounting practices and relevant tax documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Good organization and time management, with clear written and verbal communication and discretion with confidential financial information.

Required skills

• Spreadsheets and accounting software for data entry, calculations and reporting.
• Ability to prepare and review reconciliations, invoices, payment records and routine financial statements.
