Accountant / Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Accountant with strong tax expertise to manage financial and regulatory matters for our organization. The role involves overseeing land and building administration, handling tax filings, and preparing key financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative matters related to land and buildings, liaising with government departments, solicitors, and third‑party stakeholders.
• Manage income tax and sales tax filing and maintain correspondence with authorities such as FBR, SRB, EOBI, SECP, etc.
• Post and review daily journal entries, maintain ledgers, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, variance analyses, and assorted management reports.
• Collaborate with a Chartered Accounting firm for period‑close, financial reporting, audit processes, and any related controversies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in income and sales tax filing and regular interaction with Pakistani tax authorities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Detail‑oriented, improvisational, and a quick learner.
• Committed to a long‑term engagement, honest and trustworthy.
