Accounting Manager – Remote eCommerce Focus

About the role

You will lead a team of four or more accountants, managing a portfolio of eCommerce client files ranging from 10 to 25 active accounts. The position is fully client‑facing, requiring daily interaction with North American founders and your internal team during EST business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review the work of a team of accountants, providing direct feedback and performance coaching.
• Own full‑cycle accounting for multiple client files and run a five‑day month‑end close.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and logical consistency before delivery to clients.
• Handle client communications, including delivering delays or negative news.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, ACA, Contador Público, or equivalent).
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a firm or multi‑client environment.
• 2+ years of experience reviewing or managing other accountants' work.
• Proven ability to meet fixed month‑end deadlines, preferably a five‑day close.
• Strong English communication skills for live calls with North American clients.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Hands‑on experience with Xero.
• Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project‑management tools.
