AIT Manager

About the role

BAT is building a smokeless world and seeks an AIT Manager to lead efforts against illicit tobacco trade. The role focuses on gathering and analysing publicly available information to identify illegal operators, support enforcement actions and protect the business from illicit market threats.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, comprehensive public information to influence AIT operational activity.
• Interpret data from multiple sources, identify gaps and formulate actionable recommendations.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of illicit trade drivers in the assigned market.
• Support the AIT Manager with strategic reports, target profiling and business development insights.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and service providers, to deliver public information collection programmes.
• Conduct open‑source research on illicit trade trends and emerging threats.
• Participate in training, capacity‑building workshops and stakeholder mapping activities.
• Align analytical work with the market’s AIT strategy and provide support across multiple markets when required.
