Assistant Director (Pesticide Product Registration)

About the role

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is recruiting on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA), which is being set up to strengthen Pakistan's agri-trade ecosystem through stronger regulatory oversight, facilitation and modernisation of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will join NAFSA's foundational team and help build its systems, processes and institutional capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a preliminary technical review of pesticide product registration dossiers for completeness and compliance with notified requirements.
• Compile and coordinate evaluation inputs from risk assessment, studies and laboratory units, and consolidate issues for supervisory review.
• Maintain product registration records, registers and decision files with version control.
• Support drafting of routine notices, deficiency letters and communications to applicants.
• Assist in preparing summaries and briefs for product registration decisions and post-registration reviews.
• Perform other responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer in support of NAFSA's mandate.

Required profile

• B.Sc. (Hons.) (minimum sixteen years) in Agriculture/Plant Protection, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in regulatory documentation, pesticide evaluation support or similar work.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
