Assistant Manager Cloud & Infrastructure

About the role

The Assistant Manager Cloud & Infrastructure will design, implement and optimise cloud platforms supporting mobile and telecom services. The role involves end‑to‑end delivery of NFVI cloud projects, performance monitoring and automation to meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and test hardware and software components of the cloud platform.
• Design NFVI cloud core solutions for mobile services and oversee their implementation.
• Monitor system performance, capacity and scalability; optimise resources and processes.
• Manage NFVI cloud projects from inception to delivery, ensuring cost‑effectiveness.
• Implement automation, upgrade infrastructure and maintain documentation (SOPs, configurations).
• Track licences, certificates and perform network audits for FusionSphere, FusionStorage and related hardware.
• Coordinate with operations, marketing and finance teams for cloud solution delivery.
• Maintain rack/blade servers, FusionStorage, FusionSphere and integrate monitoring with eSight.
• Analyse security threats, optimise costs and develop deployment/monitoring scripts.
• Manage VNF lifecycle, review HLD/LLD designs and ensure compliance with 2G/4G/5G network standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical or Software Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, cloud computing, EPC or 5G environments.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Leadership capability to represent the department and its technology portfolio.

Required skills

• Linux operating system.
• OpenStack, FusionSphere, FusionStorage and MANO stack (MAE‑Orchestration/VNFO).
• Public cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud.
• Scripting/automation: Python, PowerShell.
• VNF installation and lifecycle management.
• NFVI cloud architecture and design (HLD/LLD).
• Knowledge of 2G/4G/5G network architecture and network optimisation.
• Monitoring tools such as eSight; KPI tracking (IOPS, bandwidth, latency).
