Assistant Manager - Internal Audit

About the role

This position covers compliance, financial and operational audits for Schools, AO, RO and Head Office functions, as well as special projects, in line with the approved annual audit plan. It also involves supervising team members and reviewing quarterly financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete assigned compliance, financial and operational audits, and special projects, according to the annual audit plan.
• Identify key risk areas and recommend control measures to mitigate them.
• Prepare working papers and audit programmes that support audit findings and conclusions.
• Draft clear internal audit reports with significant observations and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor the timely implementation of management's corrective actions.
• Review quarterly financial statements.
• Guide and supervise team members, reviewing their work for accuracy, quality and efficiency.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, MBA, M.Com or ACCA (partly or fully qualified).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in audit.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PB.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial statements.
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
