Assistant Professor Clinical Sciences

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Professor in Clinical Sciences to support the Head of Department in overseeing the department’s clinical and academic functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high‑quality education to students while ensuring excellent patient care within the teaching hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Department in managing and supervising clinical and academic activities.
• Allocate duties to the Registrar and other staff to ensure smooth operation of patient care, teaching, and training.
• Supervise, mentor and train postgraduate students, medical officers, house officers and paramedical personnel.
• Coordinate with hospital administration to maintain standards of education and health services.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment and research activities as required.

Required profile

• Medical qualification meeting the eligibility criteria of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC).
• Specialist training in one or more of the following areas: ENT, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Clinical Haematology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Geriatrics, Neurology, Accident & Emergency, Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, or Family Medicine.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching, clinical supervision and academic administration.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
