Associate Professor – Gastroenterology (Full‑time)

About the role

The Punjab Public Service Commission is seeking an experienced academic professional to join recognized medical institutions as an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology. The position combines teaching, clinical supervision, and research activities to advance gastroenterology education and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions to medical students and postgraduate trainees in gastroenterology.
• Design, conduct, and publish research in peer‑reviewed medical journals.
• Supervise clinical training, elective rotations, and academic projects of trainees.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic committees, and quality‑assurance initiatives.
• Contribute to the institution’s academic growth and uphold professional standards.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent from a PMC/PMDC‑recognized university.
• FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or American Board Diplomate in Gastroenterology (or related specialty with ≥3 years post‑graduate experience).
• Minimum 5 years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in gastroenterology.
• At least three research papers published in recognized medical journals.
