AWS Developer / Architect - Multi-Region, Python

About the role

The employer is looking for a highly skilled and experienced AWS Developer/Architect with deep expertise in AWS technologies, especially building REST APIs with API Gateway and Lambda functions in Python. The role also covers multi-region deployment architectures, Jenkins pipelines and DevOps code.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure and reliable AWS-based solutions.
• Develop REST APIs using AWS API Gateway and Lambda functions, mainly in Python.
• Implement and optimise AWS deployment architectures for reliability, scalability, high availability and performance.
• Design, develop and deploy multi-region solutions for fault tolerance and business continuity.
• Build and maintain Jenkins pipelines to automate application development and deployment.
• Write and maintain DevOps code supporting infrastructure automation and deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues with AWS services, application integrations and deployments.
• Stay up to date with AWS technologies, cloud architecture standards and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS technologies.
• Proven experience developing and deploying multi-region solutions.
• AWS certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer preferred.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in REST APIs with API Gateway and Lambda, focused on Python.
• Understanding of AWS services including VPC, EC2, Route 53, S3 and RDS.
• Jenkins, CloudFormation templates, DevOps practices and AWS SAM.
• Experience with Auth0 and AWS Cognito is an added advantage.
