AWS Solutions Architect – Islamabad

About the role

We are seeking two experienced AWS Solutions Architects to join our team in Islamabad. You will design, build, and own production‑grade cloud architectures on AWS, working directly with customers to translate business needs into secure, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions, gather technical and business requirements, and produce detailed architecture diagrams.
• Create implementation roadmaps, cost estimates, and total cost of ownership analyses.
• Develop migration and modernization strategies for existing workloads and conduct proofs of concept.
• Translate requirements into secure, reliable, and cost‑optimized AWS solutions, identifying risks and trade‑offs.
• Support pre‑sales activities, effort estimation, and technical proposals.
• Mentor DevOps engineers, review infrastructure designs and IaC code, and define security, governance, and operational standards across AWS accounts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of cloud infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years designing production AWS architectures.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience working directly with customers and presenting architectural recommendations.
• Active AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification; Professional or specialty certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ALB, Route 53, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Auto Scaling.
• AWS governance: Organizations, Control Tower, Service Control Policies.
• Security services: WAF, KMS, Secrets Manager, Security Hub, Inspector, IAM Identity Center.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (mandatory), CloudFormation or CDK (advantage).
• Containerization: Docker, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS.
• Architecture diagram tools: Draw.io, Lucidchart, Cloudcraft.
