About the role

The Baker at Cafe Madeline will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, cookies, pastries, and desserts to support daily service and catering needs. This full‑time, on‑site role requires early‑morning or shift‑based availability in a fast‑paced café environment.

Key responsibilities

• Mix doughs and batters, monitor proofing and baking times, and finish baked goods with consistent quality and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory of baking ingredients and collaborate with kitchen and barista teams on menu items and specials.

Required profile

• Strong foundational skills in bakery operations with the ability to produce high‑quality baked goods.
• Hands‑on experience in food preparation, measuring, mixing, and safe ingredient handling.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to support a guest‑focused culture.
