Business Development Specialist – US Trucking

About the role

The Business Development Specialist – US Trucking will work on‑site in Lahore to generate new business with US‑based carriers, owner‑operators and brokers. The role focuses on prospecting, cold‑calling, and onboarding clients for Astral Logistics Solutions’ dispatch and back‑office services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and onboard US trucking clients through cold calls, emails and online platforms.
• Conduct market research and build a robust sales pipeline.
• Present dispatch and back‑office services, negotiate rates and terms, and support contract finalisation.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships and coordinate with dispatch and operations teams.
• Track performance metrics, prepare regular sales reports and provide feedback to improve service offerings.

Required profile

• Understanding of the trucking domain, including CDL Class A, truck operations and configurations.
• Knowledge of US transportation and safety standards, DOT regulations and basic loading/unloading processes.
• Proven business development or sales experience in logistics, transportation or freight brokerage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities, especially with US‑based clients.
• Comfortable using CRM tools, spreadsheets and online research platforms.
• Ability to work on‑site in Lahore with a results‑driven mindset, good time‑management and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to align with US time zones when needed.
